Final Deal | Offer made from sharks |
People love a well-basted turkey but don't want to clog their kitchens with multiple gadgets. Marian Cruz created TurboBaster, which combines a turkey baster with a brush and an injector. Robert likens Marian's contraption and 3D-rendered product video to building a rocket.
Daymond, you've never been in your kitchen. You don't even know where the kitchen in your house is.
Marian worked on TurboBaster for five years. Now add this to the recipe. She didn't have a working prototype and knew no market data. It is simply an idea with a face behind it. Kevin O'Leary lambastes Marian for her ignorance, yet lucky for Marian; some sharks see potential in her.
Kevin Harrington is not much of a character on the show, but this was teed up for him. He has successfully run infomercials and ultimately comes away with a deal hoping for similar profits with TurboBaster.

In 2016 Marian wrote on Facebook "I agree, taking the deal with Kevin Harrington was a huge mistake, but you have to remember, I was a on the 1st season, so the show hadn't aired yet. According to the "profiles of the Sharks, Kevin seemed to be the best fit for the TurboBaster. Unfortunately it didn't work out, Kevin's company was struggling."
