Souls Calling Shark Tank Pitch
Gina Cotroneo suffered from a traumatic event and saw the ripple effect of how negative energy could spread. Gina set out to cause that same ripple effect, except with spreading smiles.
Her business, Souls Calling, began in 2004. It sells items such as bright umbrellas with positive messages on them to contrast the dull wave of black umbrellas. It also sells flip-flops that leave positive messages in the sand as people walk.
Gina has put $100k of her own money in and, in the last two years, made $11k and $18k in revenue. The sharks conclude this is a small hobby, not a business, and recommend Gina close up shop.

With the publicity boost of Shark Tank, Gina Cotroneo was on Oprah and rode the wave out until 2012, when she sold what she had left to move on to her next project.
