| Final Deal | Deal was made on the show with sharks Barbara Corcoran for $50k for 20% of Company. |
California removed soda in schools to publicize its healthy environments for students and get a pat on the back from society. However, Dan Mackey wasn't being tricked by the California media headlines because he was physically able to see these sodas get replaced with juices and energy drinks no better than soda.
Dan created a healthy soda that would scratch the flavorful carbonated itch without all the sugar and junk, Chill Soda.
Idk what is in this soda, but Dan struggles the communicate answers to the sharks effectively. He failed to answer that distribution was the most important thing for a soda company, followed by saying he sold 250 cans instead of 250k.
Dan, you just gave yourself mouth to mouth.
$175k revenue thus far came from the distributor even though Chill Soda is not yet in any stores. After digging, Dan reveals he has another company, doesn't know much about the beverage industry, and is a marketing guy.
All the guys are way out while Barbara seems on the fence. The guys beg Barbara not to invest, which perhaps feeds Barbara's insubordinate, bad-girl comes out. Barbara's "ain't gonna let no guys tell me what to do" mentality may have been the most significant driver for the eventual deal.
I can't wait to show you my profits.
