I thought Ray Latypov was about to pitch a Uranium-to-government delivery service until Jim Dimascio came in, and they showed their giant hampster ball.
The Virtusphere is a vast rotating ball with a human inside, which serves as a 360-degree treadmill. The movements also interact with a virtual reality game shown to the user through his/her headset.
At a $35k price point, Ray and Jim's target customer is Robert Herjavec. But more feasibly, their target customer is the Military or large arcade rooms with many Virtuspheres where groups could go to play the game.
Facebook—sorry, Meta—in 2022 isn't quite here yet, so two guys in 2009, it's pretty safe to say their game sucked.
Somehow they have sold some to the Military for $50k each.
I've never had an idea in the Shark Tank that I've loved this much.
The sharks were impressed but weren't able to find a way where it made sense for them to invest.
