Mod Mom Furniture Shark Tank Pitch

Kiersten Hathcock was a stay-at-home mom when she decided she would solve the problem of creating a toybox that fit their modern style and was fun to use.

Kiersten taught herself carpentry in her quest, and her one toybox turned into a side business. Kiersten is exhausted from spending every day making these boxes herself trying to meet demand.

She can handle making three toy boxes a week. To scale, Kiersten has an Amish supplier in her home state of Ohio that can make up to 1000 toyboxes a week if needed.

Last year Kiersten made $34k profit. Robert and Kevin love her story and give similar offers, and Kiersten chooses Robert.

, the deal did not go through. Kiersten persevered and was able to get $30k from friends and family, which allowed Mod Mom Furniture to continue growing slowly.

After the episode aired, Kiersten closed a better deal with a new investor. For two months, Mod Mom Furniture partnered with Stanley Furniture, allowing international toybox sales.

From 2014 to 2018, Kierston split from her husband and put the business on hold. Ultimately she rejoined her husband and resumed business.

This time around, Kiersten licensed her toy boxes with Little Colorado, where you can find her toy boxes for sale in 2022. Mod Mom Furniture's website, modmomfurniture.com
