Lightfilm Shark Tank Pitch

George Podd was dripping his kid off at a hockey rink when he was inspired by the car in front of him, which he could see the cartoons vividly through the window while the window decal with the hockey team's logo remained drab.

George tapped into his background in industrial design to create a window decal that lit up called Lightfilm. George teamed up with Rolf Schwartz to turn his prototype into a business.

George has put all his money, totaling $750k, into Lightfilm which paid for research and development, patents, and legal fees. The product has not yet hit the market.

Lightfilm After Shark Tank

The deal went through. In season 3, episode 5, we got an update that Lightfilm changed its name to PowerDecal. Daymond got PowerDecal into BestBuy and received licenses for many major sports leagues, including the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, and 250 colleges.

Rolf Schwartz and George Podd believed in the next six months, they would do at least $5 million to $6 million in revenue. I have a hunch they fell short of their goal.

In 2022 PowerDecal is still in business and can be found in Walmart and Amazon. However, it may be old inventory as some reviews complain of receiving defective units with corroded batteries. You can also place bulk orders with custom designs by emailing them an inquiry.

Their website is powerdecal.com

I don't know what George Podd has been up to, but according to his LinkedIn

, Rolf Schwartz co-founded a since-failed plush walking pet company in 2018 called Boardwalk Pets. In 2022 he works at a financial business he founded called ROC Private Funding, which provides loans to real estate projects in the Chicago area.
