April Morris was a single mother seeking financial freedom when she discovered her skill selling real estate. While succeeding tremendously at real estate, she had an idea: stop doing real estate and gamble her newfound money on a lip gloss that promised weight loss.
April was at a Christmas party when she was called chubby, which is excellent to see society incentivizing health so directly. Most people are of course wimps and want to take the magic pill rather than do the work.
April took a weight-loss pill which worked but made her feel jittery and unable to sleep. That sounds equivalent to cocaine, but don't sue me for libel. April wanted to create a new magic pill.
Step one was, of course, to find a random unknown spice from an African country and create a story of its magical benefits. Let media and social proof generate a desire for the fad. Cherry-pick the few people from the masses who, by unrelated or placebo effects, lost weight and use them to build testimonials.
April's magic pill is in the form of a lip gloss called Thin Gloss. The user takes a whiff of the Thin Gloss before applying it liberally to the lips. The aroma deters feelings of hunger. If it smelled like diarrhea that might also work.
Thin Gloss did $26k revenue last year and has done $18k so far this year, with April confident in achieving her goal of $1 million. I smell delusion.
April's ace in the hole is India. Robert points out that India is a very poor country and her product sells at a premium price point. Not only that but the sharks are very put off by Aprils fantastic weight-loss claims.
Don't worry. April's answer is to spout her mouth off about weight loss but walk the fine line of not saying weight loss on the package.
This legal game may work for April while she's small, but the sharks don't feel like getting sued up the wazoo after they get involved. Idk what wazoo even means, but it sounds like it would have magical spices.
All the sharks go out.
