The Pitch
Johnson Bailey didn't find the typical fluffy candle scents to be cool to put on for a football game with the guys. Johnson created the Original Man Candle, which offers scents like football, popcorn, and edgy scents like fart.
The Original Man Candle started as a project for Johnson's entrepreneurship class and now is in 400 stores across the country and did $53k in sales last year. Johnson and his wife have put $40k into the business.
The sharks see it as a gimmick but not an investable company.
He was missing the one flavor that would've got me interested: money.

Update After Shark Tank
The Original Man Candle had a spike in sales after the show and got an update in season 3, episode 6, that Johnson Bailey secured funding and turned his revenue from $70k a year to $250k a year. He is in 500 retail stores across the country, including chains such as Spencers Gifts, Kirkland's, and Hallmark. Johnson moved into an office and hired employees to pour candles.
Daymond John even went to Oklahoma State University to meet with Johnson Bailey at one point. In 2011, Nathan Thornberry from Carmel, Indiana invested $65k for 35% of the company. Nathan eventually sued Johnson, who was ordered to pay $71k to Nathan. Johnson opted to file for bankruptcy and thus never paid Nathan.
