Mix Bikini Shark Tank Pitch

Frank Scozzafava and Adam DiSilvestro created a way for girls to ensure a unique bikini at the beach by allowing them to mix and match their own custom bikini with Mix Bikini.

Mix Bikini has no sales. Frank and Adam want to build a $25k kiosk in a mall where girls can place orders. Frank and Adam have as much as $500k to put into Mix Bikini but seek the sharks' expertise.

Frank and Adam have a miscommunication on their asking equity and an overall scatterbrained plan. Frank saw a mindblowing quote about the benefits for people to work with smarter people than themselves. Newsflash, the sharks likewise don't want to work with people dumber than them.

Barbara likes the idea and gives a reasonable offer that Frank and Adam waste no time taking.

Mix Bikini After Shark Tank

Frank Scozzafava and Barbara spoke about Mix Bikini in season 1, episode 2 of Beyond The Tank. The night of the Shark Tank airing Frank Scozzafava and Adam DiSilvestro rented out a nightclub in New York City with custom cakes, indoor swimming pools, and models, and they gave away a car. Barbara was there in a pink dress, wig, and glasses.

While partying, the Mix Bikini website crashed and was down for a week. Frank estimated that they spent at least $50k on the party, so Barbara's investment disappeared pretty quickly, but Barabara had no hard feelings toward Frank.

The designer of Mix Bikini, Kelsey Duffy, continued the business under her new brand Versakini, which went quiet in 2018.

Frank Scozzafava started a rental scooter company in 2015 with an initial test in Columbia, South Carolina, called Scootaway, which he talks about in a Vimeo video here

, Scootaway had app issues and clunky scooters. He made improvements and rebranded to Zapp.

about the competitors of Zapp and how Zapp's technology was better and would prevail. Frank saw the potential for growth in university settings as well as an expansion to several vehicle types from scooters to cars. In 2019 Zapp went out of business.

Adam DiSilvestro started a Food Truck called DiSO'S Italian Sandwich Society which continues to operate in 2022 and can be found at the website disosnyc.com
