Remyxx Shark Tank Pitch

Gary Gagnon and his two boys are all over their new shoe company Remyxx. Remyxx's differentiator is that the shoe is built to be recycled.

Gary has put $30k into Remyxx and has been working on Remyxx for two years but only considers it to be a real business for the last few weeks, so sales are zero.

Gary wants money to buy the molds needed to manufacture the shoes. The sharks see the money required to build inventory massive, the competitors huge, and no part of Remyxx is proprietory.

It gets cold there in February. You know what I'm thinking? Take these shoes. Burn them. Stay Warm.

—Kevin O'Leary

Daymond is the last shark remaining and talks himself into an offer for 80% equity. Gary gets emotional about what Remyxx means to his family. Daymond will fund all the future needs for Remyxx and serve as a role model for Gary's children and Gary accepts.

, the deal with Daymond fell through, however, Daymond continued to help Gary Gagnon with Remyxx. Daymond offered to help close deals or fund large orders.

The word remix is a commonly used word that made Remyxx feel part of a larger crowd, so Gary Gagnon changed the name to Rekixx.

Gary did not have shoes to sell on Shark Tank air day but capitalized on the traffic by securing $44k of pre-orders through Kickstarter

. Gary attempted to run another Kickstarter for 2014 but failed to raise money.

By 2015 Gary liquidated the rest of the shoes for $8 a pair on Amazon and closed Rekixx for good.
