Rick Smith Magic Shark Tank Pitch
Rick Smith Jr is a magician from Cleveland, Ohio, aspiring to have a Las Vegas show. Rick Smith has skills including stage magic and card-throwing and intends to bring in singers, dancers, jugglers, and more. He's one tiger away from a circus.
Rick hasn't read "How To Win Friends & Influence People" by Dale Carnegie because Rick doesn't call any sharks by their names. He does a few tricks, shocks Kevin's butt, and gets to business.
Rick made $200k as a traveling magician last year. If you thought Rick's $1.5 million ask was high, don't worry because he has "projections." Rent for many of these venues is over $8k a week, but he believes he can bring in $12 million revenue doing two shows a day, seven days a week.
The sharks believe Rick has no brand name yet and don't want to risk their money to go to Las Vegas, where there are already a million magicians to compete with.
It takes 10-15 years to become an overnight success and you're not going to use my $1.5 million to become an overnight success with one act.

Rick Smith Magic After Shark Tank
Rick Smith Jr. never got the Las Vegas show he dreamed of. Still, he continued to do magic for parties, corporate events, and other opportunities such as America's Got Talent or working with Dude Perfect on YouTube.
In 2022, Rick lives in Cleveland, Ohio with his wife Tiffany, who was the singer and magicians assistant on the show, and their kids.
