| Final Deal | Deal was made on the show with sharks Robert Herjavec for $175k for 20% of Company. $50k for infomercial. |
Travis Perry found that his daughters and others lose the desire to play the guitar because of finger pain and the time required to be put in before one gets to the point where he/she can play a song.
Travis created Chord Buddy, a guitar attachment that makes learning the guitar gentler on fingers and allows one to play songs right away. Training can occur incrementally while maintaining the gratification of hearing a song.
In simple terms, you push a button and get chicks. In more detail, you get the plastic fret tool (yes, I had to google the anatomy of a guitar) and a patented two-month lesson plan with a DVD.
Chord Buddy did $150k in revenue in one month through his website and eight stores in LA (Lower Alabama). Lifetime revenue is $500k, and Travis has a purchase order he needs to fill to get him in 5000 Sam's Club stores.
Chord Buddy is 100% made in the U.S.A., and Kevin suggests a move to off-shore production, while the other Sharks like that Travis hires locally unemployed people.
With several sharks interested, Robert charms Travis to choose his offer. The two jam their way out of the tank, and Travis celebrates with his family over bringing success to sweet home Alabama.
