Esso Watches Shark Tank Pitch

Ryan Nayler saw a balance band catching steam in Italy and saw potential in launching his brand in the USA. He put his skills to work to capitalize on the fad by starting his power balance watch band, Esso Watches.

Ryan uses a placebo effect to trick Lori into thinking that her balance improved because the special chemical in the watchband balances out her negative ions.

I'm allergic to scams. Seriously. This is not new. It's been disproven. What you saw was a placebo effect...It's a joke. It's a scam. It's not real.

—Mark Cuban

The second Ryan Nailer said negative ion we all knew Mark Cuban was going to give him the works on behalf of we the people.

Sales from a $10k investment were $120k in the last year with $70k in profit. Ryan has high sales because he found a way to rank first on google when people search for ion bracelets. Also, people make irrational buying based on hopes of it being a "magic pill."

Mr.Wonderful almost gets sucked into the hype. The only thing this scam helped was Ryan's balance sheet.

Ryan realized he didn't love the business, and also Exxon Mobil claimed to have the copyright on "Esso" and worked out a deal with Ryan and he closed Esso Watches down.

In 2021 Ryan went on Entrepreneurs on Fire podcast here

Ryan found happy families to be of value and discovered that financial troubles are one of the main reasons families fall apart. Through his interest in hiring and creating company culture in 2022 Ryan is focusing on his busi
