If it were the 1950's Kyle, KJ, Danny, and DJ Mastronardo would be beating down some sharks in Manhattan's Upper West side. Instead, they seek to work with the sharks to grow their face moisturizer business, Nardo's Naturals.
Nardo's Naturals is produced in St.Petersburg, Florida two minutes from their parent's home. The brothers all chip in where they can.
They have put $35k into Nardo's Naturals and have done $30k of revenue in the past year through the 17 stores. They project $4.8 million in annual revenue in two years.
The Mastronardo dumped out a can of letters saying they were testimonials and pulled out a letter they said was from the president and first lady, while in reality, it was a generic thank you letter for their free gift.
Let me make an offer. I'm going to give you nothing. You have no sales. You don't even have good packaging. There is nothing proprietor or unique about this product. You're going to get slaughtered. I'm out.
Barbara doesn't like the name but loves the guys and their naivety and gives them a bold offer, which to everyone's surprise they accept without rebuttle.
Barbara, are you gonna make them take their shirts off and do a calender?

Barbara claims the name change was just a trick to get people to remember Nardo's Naturals. In 2012, the Mastronardos opened up a spa in St.Petersburg, Florida, which creates a good home base to see Nardo's Naturals being sold and interact with their customers.
In 2013 KJ was riding his motorcycle and lost control when trying to avoid an animal. KJ collided with an oncoming car and tragically died. The loss of KJ has grown the family bond and the passion behind Nardo's Naturals. They built a local manufacturing facility to meet the demand and automate much of the process, and chemists now made their formulas.
In season 5, episode 5, we got an update informing viewers about the loss of KJ. Lifetime sales have reached $500k and the brothers are talking to big box retailers like Walgreens, Whole Foods, and CVS.

Coconut oil was not a buzzword at the time, but Kyle studied health and nutrition in college, and their mom was a nurse, so the brothers became sold the idea of selling skin care products. Kyle sold his car for $6k, which became their start-up capital.
Danny decided to leave his job and moved in with his brothers into a small condo where he ate PB & J's and had only a couch to sleep on for two years.
As of 2019, Danny has been on Good Morning America several times. One of Nardo's Naturals' most significant income streams is private labeling for other brands. They help these brands "soup to nuts" from the logo design to the manufacturing, and in 2018 they helped launch around 250 brands.
