Hoodie Pillow Shark Tank Pitch

Chris Hindley had triplet girls and no longer could get a good night's sleep. He drew up an idea and brought it to his friend Rebecca Rescate, who you may recall from Citikitty

in season 2, who invested in Hoodie Pillow as it was an idea as a self-proclaimed mini-shark.

Hoodie Pillow combines a hood and a pillowcase to block out noise to improve his sleep or for the casual user to lounge on the couch comfortably. They also have another product called Travel Pillow, a neck cushion with a hood.

Travel Pillow demonstrated

I've made some money off hoods.

—Daymond John

If Daymond's joke referencing hoods as slang for neighborhoods was too subtle, his following act demonstrating the Hoodie Pillow as if he was wearing it out on the town trying to get into the club was hilarious.

Daymond John wearing Hoodie Pillow with his own interpretation

Hoodie Pillow launched eight weeks ago and stirred up a bunch of social media hype, resulting in $60k in sales. Hoodie Pillow has a utility patent and a design patent.

Kevin offers to become equal partners with Rebecca and Chris, and each removes money from the business at the same rate. Rebecca seems resistant to Kevin, while Chris admits Kevin is his favorite shark.

Daymond gives an equal offer to Kevin without any contingencies and gives Rebecca and Chris ten seconds to decide, which Rebecca elects to hear the other sharks out, and Daymond stays true to his word and retracts his offer but joins Barbaras for more equity.

After much back-and-forth noise, Robert asks Rebecca for her best offer, which turns out far below what is on the table. Robert sat on the sidelines for much of the pitch but entertains Rebecca's ask, and Chris, the majority stakeholder, accepts the deal.
