| Final Deal | All Sharks went Out |
Scott Duff and Carlos Ortiz created a knick-knack soda can insulated holder called My Cold Snap. Scott and Carlos opened with an offer to sell their entire company for the first time in Shark Tank history.
Scott and Carlos put $200k into My Cold Snap to research and create the tooling required for production and admit to misspending the money. They licensed the product, and the licensee sold $250k of My Cold Snaps. Scott and Carlos got a 10-cent royalty and recouped $25k in that time.
The deal ended when the licensee went bankrupt in 2004. Daymond jokes that they put the business on ice for eight years. They now have 20k units that have been sitting in a warehouse waiting to be sold.
What I have a problem with is this thing died years ago, and now you're trying to pawn it off on us...Never invest in a business that's rolling downhill because a boulder rolling downhill cannot be stopped.
Scott and Carlos claim they are committed despite dusting off their old idea and trying to make a quick buck off it through the least amount of effort possible. Of course, all the sharks go out.

Scott Duff and Carlos Ortiz's My Cold Snap went nowhere after Shark Tank except maybe to the dump. As of 2022, I couldn't find anything on what Scott did after Shark Tank, but there is some good news.
