| Final Deal | All Sharks went Out |
Heather Murphy-Monteith and Andy Hurwitz created a business to perform disco parties for kids called Baby Loves Disco. My introverted self feels anxious just watching the dancing but the kids appear to be having fun.
Heather and Andy utilize real nightclub venues during the dead hours of the day. These are not birthday parties but rather events targeting all kids around event areas across the country. They average around 350 kids per event. There are activities beyond dancing, such as family photo booths and provided snacks.
Baby Loves Disco has done $2.8 million in revenue in its seven-year existence. This year's revenue is projected to be $525k. Money comes from sponsors, merchandise sales, and ticket sales. Revenue from a single event ranges between $1500 and $3000. Most of their revenue comes from sponsors, and they seem to currently rely on one sponsor, Penguin Books.
It's easy. I mean, you can imagine it's not that difficult to find other partners.
Honestly, we are making this up as we go.
All the sharks find Andy and Heather lacking structure and direction in their plan, and all sharks go out. In the exit pitch, Andy claimed he and Heather were "survivors [of the Shark Tank]," which I'm not following the meaning of. The good news is Heather's hyphenated last name likely won't be moving on to another generation.

In 2005 Andy Blackman Hurwitz was a father of three and a music industry veteran, making for an optimal partner for Heather. They put $22k into Baby Loves Disco and, in 2008, took an investment from an Angel investor. Heather hoped to one day sell the business or get to the point where he did not have to run it.

In 2022 Heather Murphy is listed in the directory of Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, a school system in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania, as a Director of Auxilary programs. Perhaps Heather saw eye to eye with me and dropped '-Monteith.'
