Lose 12 Inches With Any 12 Workouts Shark Tank Pitch

Ryan Ehmann was a professional rodeo rider for 14 years until chronic back pain forced him out. Ryan went to over 15 doctors over a year who was unable to improve his back pain, but Ryan changed his approach. Through his determination to revive his health, Ryan became a certified trainer and fixed his back pain with his new workout routine. Ryan is a high-energy cowboy with a wife, two kids, and an entrepreneurial drive.

Ryan created the workout program Lose 12 Inches With Any 12 Workouts (I lost weight just typing that out) that he uses to teach local fitness classes, which he intends to turn into a DVD program that can be sold through infomercials.

They don't look real. I mean your abs I've never seen—It's like the Incredible Hulk.

—Lori Greiner

Ryan also created a software program that allows people to calculate their target heart rate zone and an educational system on how to use the heart rate monitors he sells. Furthermore, Ryan made a workout machine called Rodeo Abs that he licensed to a company earlier this year that sold over $1 million in Australia and Germany.

Ryan provides a few before and after testimonials while Robert jokes about Kevin being the before guy. Ryan appears like a bull rider being pulled in several directions, yet somehow hanging on. Kevin suggests Ryan needs someone to guide him in the right direction.

After sharks go out one by one, Lori suggests that every cowboy needs a cowgirl, but she is unfortunately not it. Ryan shows his passion and drive, pleading with Lori to stay in. Daymond is Ryan's last hope. Daymond saw something unique about Ryan that he doesn't often see walk through the Shark Tank doors. While the business is confusing, Daymond believes in Ryan, gives Ryan exactly what he asked for (he said 120 but likely misspoke and meant 125), and makes all the viewers smile. Is Daymond making a push to be my new favorite shark? Yes.

That's what I'm talkin' about!

—Ryan Ehmann

with Shark Tank Blog after pitching Lose 12 Inches With Any 12 Workouts on Shark Tank. Ryan was inspired by Tony Robbins who said If you're not getting what you want, you have to change your approach. and stopped going to doctors and started thinking about how he worked out. Ryan was broke and at an emotional low living in a camper in a Texas field mourning his rodeo career before getting back into the gym and becoming a trainer at Gold's Gym in Austin, Texas.

Gold's Gym Venice bought into Ryan's story and sponsored his return to rodeo riding. Ryan found success and was able to befriend the "Babe Ruth" of rodeo riding, Bruce Ford. Ryan's rodeo career came to an end after getting stepped on my a bull and getting six plates in his jaw.

When Ryan transitioned his focus to workout products he wasn't making money and no banks would lend to him due to his conventional workout program. Ryan funded the gym with credit cards and proved the banks wrong.

Ryan was a fan of Shark Tank and applied in 2012. Ryan was not a very technical guy, but one day his wife checked the voicemail on his cell-phone and found a 3-week-old voicemail from the producers.

Lose 12 Inches With Any 12 Workouts got around 28k viewers the night the episode aired. Ryan made around $4500 in royalties from his ab workout machine, and the licensee was getting out of selling it. Ryan and Daymond were going to consider selling the workout machine but were focused mainly on selling a complete workout program and training Cowboy Fit Zone trainers.

, Daymond helped Ryan build out a brand, Cowboy Ryan, including a DVD set, a meal plan, and a gym in Colorado, which rapidly gained 100 members. At the onset of the Covid panic, Ryan created the "Healthy at Home" fitness routine, which was featured on a special episode of Shark Tank highlighting the way Shark Tank businesses adapted to the Covid panic. Ryan missed working out in person with people and was hoping to work as a trainer in Kalispell, Montana in the future.
