Mission Belt Shark Tank Pitch

Nate Holzapfel created The Mission Belt, which functions similarly to a zip tie with no holes, allowing for a more detailed fit. Nate aimed to make the belt as high quality as he could for a reasonable price.

Nate sold his car and put $90k into Mission Belt and has no debt on the company. In Mission Belt's three-month lifetime it sold units for $35 through 22 boutique locations, amounting to $39k in sales. Nate loves to sell. He teaches the salespeople at the store's Mission Belt is in about the product and isn't afraid to sell door to door. Nate wants the sharks to help Nate get in front of larger retail chains to pitch to.

The sharks worry that the product will require demonstration and not sell as well in large stores with untrained salespeople. Daymond is the only shark to make an offer and shockingly Mark goes out after having only good things to say about Nate. Nate and Daymond make a deal.

Mission Belt After Shark Tank

Nate Holzapfel gave an update on Mission Belt on season 5, episode 4. They did $180k in sales on Shark Tank air night and over $1 million that month with projections of $3 million in sales in the next three months. Nate has over 20 employees and a new facility for Mission Belt. In season 5, episode 29 (the season finally), Mission Belt was briefly mentioned in the montage of season updates.

In 2016 Mission Belt was featured in season 1, episode 5 of Beyond The Tank. Mission Belt is in over 1000 retailers and employs 45 people. Nate created a mission of having a portion of every sale go towards helping families become financially independent. Nate takes Daymond to meet his family and Daymond is surprised at Nate's extravagant lifestyle.

Mission Belt was created by Zac Holzapfel, Jeff Jensen, and Nate Holzapfel in 2012. The Beyond The Tank update was filmed in 2015 and by 2016 they had addressed many of the issues in that episode. They were in 1200 stores and acquired licensing to use logos of the NHL, NBA, and NCAA. Zac's mission from the beginning was to loan money out through a platform called Kiva

, which targets funding small loans to third-world countries (these are loans, not donations). As of 2016, they had funded over $1 million in loans, from 36k microloans across 72 countries.

Nate Holzapfel personal mission apparently didn't align with the companies mission. Nate seems to have left Mission Belt around 2016 and as of 2022 Nate has caused himself and others a string of problems since.

, in 2018 Nate was sued by Larry King for tricking Larry King to do a mock interview, which Nate used to convey Larry King endorsing Nate's new commercial activities, which Nate privately sent to TV stations in an attempt to get on their show thinking the shows wouldn't circle back with Larry. Nate lost the case and owed Larry King $250k and attorney fees. Nate went on to scam females out of money over the next several years, which I'll attempt to organize as best I understand them.

Nate was married and began dating a divorced woman who had significant health problems and cared for her disabled adult son. Nate convinced the woman that he could save her capital gains tax and tricked her into transferring ownership of her house into a business Nate created called Save My House, LLC according to kjzz.com

. When the suspicious woman asked for her home to be transferred back to her and Nate ignored her, sold the home, and gave her $11k of the profits, Nate took nearly $200k to pay for his attorney fees, personal debts, and weapons. Nate never told the women he was married or about his financial troubles. When the women threatened to report the situation to the police, Nate disappeared. According to ksl.com

police monitored the address listed on his driver's license as a motel in Orem, Utah, but did not find evidence of him living there.

In 2021, Mission Belts clarified that Nate has not been involved with the company for nearly seven years and that Mission Belts has continued its mission of making quality belts and made over 5 million dollars in micro-loans to date.

Nate also met a girl on the dating app, Tinder, who he persuaded to invest $50,000 from her late husband’s life insurance policy into Nate's company Bristol and Beard. He also sold her car and her AR-15 gun and ammunition. She never received any money back when she asked for it.

in 2022 Nate was found to have convinced another woman to give him a $100k check. Nate tricked another girl into charging $9k to her credit card. Nate is believed to have victimized more people.

, Nate was charged with one count of forcible sexual abuse for inappropriately touching a minor at a music concert in Orem, Utah in July 2021. In November 2021 Nate was charged with two counts of lewdness for inappropriately touching a woman who was sitting at a desk and on a second occasion did the same thing and exposed himself to her.

There was a lot to take in here and I likely missed some things. I'm not sure what punishments Nate got for his crimes as of 2022. Larry King who died in 2021 would find the following Norm Macdonald inspired joke

fitting.

Nathaniel Holzapfel was found guilty of communications fraud, theft by deception, and forcible sexual abuse. I know the scriptures say judge not lest you be judged but you know I'm just going to come out and say it. This Nathaniel Holzapfel guy...this guy's a real jerk.
