| Final Deal | All Sharks went Out |
J. Jones went to school in England and fell in love with his local bakery. When he moved back to the US for law school, he discovered that the coffee shops in America primarily sold scones that tasted like compressed sand. You've heard of scones but perhaps can't recall exactly what they are. Scones are a pastry often eaten as a quick breakfast, common in Britain. J used his baking skills to create authentic scones like the kind found in England, calling them Jones Scones.
At one point, J was selling $113k in scones a month. J expanded into California and changed manufacturers, which ended up having issues that J couldn't financially support, forcing J to scale back. Jones Scones did $75k in revenue two years ago and $65k in revenue last year. Currently, J does $5k in revenue per month through six whole foods in the Denver area.
J has been in business for ten years with only one year of over $100k in revenue. J believes he will get his team right and the business will improve. The sharks all find J very likable, but as an investment, four sharks go out, and J thanks the sharks and leaves. Mark never said he was out, granted he was going to, but it's still funny.
