Three Day Rule Shark Tank Pitch
Val Brennan was tired of the strain wasted dates added to her already busy life, so she created Three Day Rule, a dating site focusing on quality over quantity. Three Day Rule targets individuals making over $50k a year and filters in people through invites and quizzes.
Val is the co-founder of Three Day Rule and has raised $150k at a $4 million valuation. Val says her business partner is an expert matchmaker. Three Day Rule launched four weeks ago and so far 10k people have submitted an application to join the site. Val intends to charge a monthly subscription but for now, the service is free.
Val has another dating-themed business, which generates income through selling $1000 tickets to in-person three-day matchmaking events and other means. That business generated $70k in revenue last year.
The sharks believed that Three Day Rule suggested that after three days physical romance occurs. Val says that Three Day Rule means that people shouldn't wait three days to respond in trying to play it cool. Daymond inquires about Val's relationship status and finds she uses the app but is single.
You know the saying never trust a skinny chef, right? Well, never invest in a single matchmaker.
The sharks didn't see Three Day Rule as any different than other dating sites. All sharks go out.
