Cozy Bug Shark Tank Pitch
Aly Lessor's daughter Cozette would get stopped by strangers asking about the unique outfit that Aly's mother made for Cozette. When a market for the item was apparent Aly created a clothing brand called Cozy Bug, named after Cozette.
Cozy Bug clothes are constructed to be able to adapt to last with a growing child. While the idea of pillowcase clothing had been around in the south Aly plans to expand the concept to new markets.
Aly was able to fund her company by winning a lawsuit against her former employer who didn't want Aly to breastfeed her child at work. That sounds like a touchy subject. Let's move on.
Cozy Bug did $300k in revenue in 30 days. However, Ally is misguiding the sharks by using a favorable way of reframing reality. It sounds as though Ally sold Cozy Bugs in three-day-a-month increments on a third-party website, Zulily, implying sales were over ten months.
Aly wants to expand into tutus and other clothes, shoot for the stars, and be everywhere. This is the opposite of what Mark and Robert see as smart growth and go out. Lori and Daymond give equal offers and Aly chooses Daymond.

Cozy Bug After Shark Tank
According to Shark Tank Blog https://www.sharktankblog.com/business/cozy-bug, the Shark Tank airing came and went without any sight of Cozy Bugs. Later Aly Lessor appeared on a segment on CNN announcing she had partnered with Daymond and the website got redone.Link Preview

In season 7, episode 12 Daymond held an event that included several of his deals, including Cozy Bug.
Cozy Bug's Instagram, @cozy_bug https://www.instagram.com/cozy_bug, Cozy Bugs sold out of kiosks in the mall through 2014 and that seems to be the end of Cozy Bugs. Cozzette was shown in a 2022 post doing skateboard tricks, which was neat.Link Preview
