| Final Deal | Deal was made on the show with sharks Lori Greiner for $55k for 15% of company. |
Jenn Deese and Kelley Coughlan are best friends who love going out and can't live without their phones. Jenn and Kelley launched a public relations company, which they do as a day job. They created Pursecase, a stylish, function-focused phone case with a chain handle and a compact mirror. They need help on the business side of things to grow into a business.
Jenn and Kelley have done $30k of preorders in their first three months and project to do $240k in sales for the year. A manufacturer named Dowell International (perhaps misspelled) did a deal with Jenn and Kelly for 15% equity, but they offered to provide a $1 million credit line. The girls want to expand into other phone-type capabilities.
Robert recently returned from Europe and observed similar-looking cases all over the place. Jenn and Kelley confirmed the only differentiator that their case has from those is a pocket. Barbara prefers a simple case, and Mark finds the phone accessory business risky. Lori has already sold a similar product on QVC, but because that product did well. Lori calls Pursecase a superhero and wants to be part of Pursecase. Lori didn't try to be aggressive with her offer, and the girls ecstatically accepted the offer.

They closed the deal with Lori and did $400k the night Shark Tank aired. Lori was super helpful and incredibly supportive. Kelley and Jenn's PR company, Melrose PR, also got free press. Now that's good PR.
In season 2, episode 4 of Beyond The Tank in 2016, we got an update that Pursecase did $400k in sales shortly after Shark tank. As the business grew, the relationship between Jenn and Kelley fell apart. Jenn decided to step away from Pursecase, and Lori and Kelley bought out her shares. The business struggled in 2014, and Lori suggested they expand into android despite the vast number of phone shapes, each requiring a $5k mold to create.
Kelley and Jenn dually worked on Melrose PR and Pursecase. Kelley and Jenn's relationship went downhill in the year after Shark Tank. It was a stressful time, Kelley got married that year, and Jenn backed out of coming to the wedding. It was hard for Kelley, and she thought an option was for Jenn to handle Pursecase and Kelley Melrose PR. They were reinvesting everything into Pursecase, and while Kelley was financially secure, Jenn was struggling to carry on with inconsistent pay. Ultimately Jenn decided to leave. Lori and Kelley gave Jenn "plenty" of money in a buyout, and Jenn moved on to work at a more corporate PR job.

Kelsey primarily ran Pursecase, while Kelley spent most of her time with Melrose PR. By 2017, they felt Pursecase had run its course and started to have some patent issues. Simultaneously, cryptocurrency started popping off at the time, which led to a lot of new business for Melrose PR, so Kelley needed to focus on Melrose PR entirely.
