The Wall Doctorx Shark Tank Pitch

Jim Lewis is a forensic pathologist (examines people who suddenly die). Jim created a wall repair system called The Wall Doctorx, to make repairing walls easier. It doesn't make sense to me how the will could be fixed flat by adding plastic over the wall but whatever.

Jim has sold 80k units resulting in $600k in sales since starting three years ago. Jim projects sales of $500k to $1 million next year. Jim has turned down orders from large retail stores to avoid taking risks that could lead to the company's failure. He plans to use the investment to build machinery to automate production.

Every shark except Mark makes an offer. Jim wants to work with Lori and Robert, who doesn't want to work together. Jim declines Daymond and Kevin's offers. Jim accepts Robert's offer, although, after the banter, Robert halts closing the deal for a second until ultimately accepting.

The Wall Doctorx After Shark Tank

According to whyy.org , Jim Lewis came up with the idea for Wall Rx when his daughter accidentally tripped while carrying a Christmas tree, resulting in a hole in the wall. The $300 cost for a handyman to repair the hole left Jim thinking about his own solution. Jim used his knowledge about repairing human body wounds to create a band-aid for the wall.
Jim did an interview in 2014 with mainlinetoday.com . Jim grew up in what he called one of the worst areas in North Philadelphia, where he found an escape and safe heaven at the library studying. Jim even made deals with gang members to do their homework for them to avoid getting beat up. Jim also mentioned getting a deal with another shark after the show, which he indicated in a Twitter post from @walldoctorx , that it was Lori. As of 2023, the last Tweet is from 2016.
According to the Spark Innovations LinkedIn , Spark Innovations acquired Wall Doctorx at some point. Spark Innovations has roots on Shark Tank with FiberFix and Screenmend from season 5.
As of 2023 the website is down and appears to have last been active in 2021. The Wall Doctor / Wall RX sold on Amazon until 2022 and has very poor reviews and is unavailable in 2023.
