DDP Yoga Shark Tank Pitch
Diamond Dallas Page is a famous former WWE wrestler who had a near career ending back injury. When doctors recommended Diamond try yoga, he was initially resistant but, after seeing the result, had a change of heart. Diamond partnered with Steve Yu to create DDP Yoga with the slogan "It ain't your mama's yoga."
DDP Yoga launched two years ago. Today they have broken $3 million in sales with an $890k profit after paying themselves. They currently sell the program in a DVD and book format and want to use an investment to build an app. They are dabbling with a new style of infomercial called a documercial.
Daymond has found similar exercise program deals have been a huge time suck for him. Mark points out that the business is almost starting from scratch, switching to the digital world. Barbara believes they have peaked. All the sharks go out.

DDP Yoga After Shark Tank
Diamond went on the Comes A Time https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/diamond-dallas-page/id1526166945?i=1000552737131 podcast in 2022. Diamond attempted wrestling at 23 but didn't work out, so he got a job in a Florida nightclub. Diamond returned to wrestling at 31, which cost him money and was a struggle for years until he finally broke through in 1996. The story writers never slotted Diamond to become a big name, but Diamond won over the crowd's support and big-name wrestlers who saw his potential. Finally, when Diamond was set to sign a big contract, he blew his back out and was told by three spine specialists that he was done, leading to his passion for health and wellness and, ultimately, DDP Yoga.Link Preview

Diamond did an interview on Chris Van Vliet's YouTube https://youtu.be/4-V55vln0BA in 2021. Diamond said he did not go on Shark Tank for money. The purpose was for exposure though he was willing to offer 5%. Diamond said he had a blast going on Shark Tank and was happy with the edit considering in the hour they filmed, he got a bit retaliatory at times to some of the sharks' comments, such as Barbara comparing DDP to the naked cowboy.Link Preview

DDP Yoga's website saw around 6k viewers while airing on Shark Tank, which they considered very high. Diamond Dallas Page and Steve Yu had a viewing party during the airing.
