| Final Deal | All Sharks went Out |
Carter Kostler saw that the amount of soda his mom and Americans were consuming was high, so he created a water bottle to make drinking water more enticing. Define Bottle has a compartment to add fruit, which infuses flavor into the water for a fresh, healthy taste.
Carter created Define Bottle when he was 13, and he is now 15. Carter made fruit-infused water recipe websites, which get 2k hits a day. Carter intends to promote Define Bottle on those sites.
Carter has put $300k into Define Bottle, funded by his parents taking out a mortgage on their house. Define Bottle has $85k worth of tooling, $150k worth of inventory, $65k in sales since May (presumable a few months), and projected sales of $200k this year and $400k next year. 50% of sales have been online, and 50% have been through wholesale accounts such as Whole Foods and a Canadian retailer, DavidsTea.
The sharks are concerned about the competition and find it risky to get involved in a high-stress business that Connor's family will depend on to repay their debt. Robert offers for 40% equity, but it's more than Connor is willing to accept. All sharks go out.
