Velocity Signs Shark Tank Pitch

Scott Adams was driving to a business meeting on a hot day when he saw a guy twirling a sign and drenched in sweat before retreating to the shade. Scott teamed up with Josh Faherty to create Velocity Signs, 165lb electric-powered sign spinners.

Scott defends that Velocity Signs are good for American workers because the signs result in more sales, which can be hiring the human sign spinner in a different and more productive role.

Each Velocity Sign sells for between $2-3k and costs Scott $1k to make. In the last year, Scott and Josh have sold 125, resulting in $257k in sales. Velicity Sign's largest customer is Little Ceasers. Scott plans to hire eight sales reps and four administrative personnel and sell 1,200 units over the next year, resulting in $2.5 million in sales. Scott mentions plans for a smaller product to add movement to real estate yard signs.

After all the sharks go out, Lori makes an offer. Kevin and Mark offer to join Lori on her deal, which she is resistant to accept, and a boys group offer versus a girls group offer persists. Scott says he values three sharks over two and accepts Mark, Kevin, and Robert's offer.
