Fort Magic Shark Tank Pitch

Erika Pope was a stay-at-home mom for 15 years. Erica saw kids' thrills when building forts, so she created Fort Magic. Fort Magic sells starter frames to allow for kids to imagine loftier fort designs. Kits do not come with fabric for predesigned forts.

Erica has put in $50k, her mother has put in $200k, and another investor put $200k in for 35% equity. Fort Magic has done $150k in sales over its first 18 months, selling entirely through Amazon. Erica manufactures each kit for $40 and sells it for $199. Kevin thinks for $200, the car should come with an engine.

The sharks find Erica energetic and kind but lacking a plan and focus. Every shark but Robert goes out. Robert makes an aggressive offer for 50% equity, which is what he feels is necessary to account for the risk and the complexity of answering multiple other investors. The other sharks criticize Robert's offer, and Erica politely declines.
